Tenacity

I am very glad to present you this song: Tenacity. It is one of the songs that I would like to continue playing over and over because I really put a good effort into it. It may be surprising for you because it actually took me about 9 hours to be completed and this was also because it was my first completly recorded song. It is intersting to consider that there are songs that can seem easy to play but there others that are just extremely difficult! Tenacity is not that hard to play except for the solo parts. But recording it that day, that was another story.

I needed a long time alone with my instruments and laptop which is now kind of broken. The one that was more complex to use was my guitar for this song because there were some distortion changes and different effects in the pedal for most of the different segments. Thanks to the Lord I made it at the end, and you can imagine that as for the 8th hour I naturally felt very tired but with that need to "just finish it".

Always keep the Holy Spirit burning!

I enjoyed the process tough it was something that inspired me during the go and I can remember that during that day I didn't really eat that much, better be careful next time so I can actually produce songs!

For the bass parts that was not that difficult because the bass lines were indeed similar to the guitar ones except for the bass solo which was mainly an improvization

there are plenty of keyboard effects along the song. some of them as you can notice are syntehizrs that I used for the solo parts, I love synthetizer solos! There are some church organ parts in the arabic sounding part.

As for the background effects at the beginning that sound very "misty" I decided to use a little saturation of them by adding keyboard pads, a phaser and my guitar reverb effects plus another reverb effect while editing in audacity. Yes, this was done in audacity. I like working with different tools like FL studio but the simpler, the better.

This is for today and stay in touch with the blog and the good music, you can get this track in bandcamp of course!

Feeling Japanese

Yes, that's right! There is a new Japanese feeling this time for you which is "Kyoto", one of the songs that I made for the album Ultra Space. Even if you think it was made very throughly I have to confess that I didn't prepare it that much. It was the result of a guitar improvisation and for the rest of the tracks I just added some organ sounds, shamisen like sounds and synth-leads that made the sounds that you can hear in the background.

It is interesting that it all came up just with some guitar stuff I came up with because I like the idea of preparing songs at least until a certain degree (however there are times in which I do it very improvized anyhow).

Kyoto was a song that I made in a normal working day and I sure liked the final results as other people have liked so far.

Hopefully the project will keep growing and I am really excited about the continuation of this musical project which is not only for me but for you and of course for God's glory. I am glad that we can all enjoy these songs I am making and of course I will leave you here the song itself so you can enjoy it!

For those of you who are curious, I have been learning Japanese for about 3 years and the influence of this country in my life is also a good think that I want to add as an influence to my music. I enjoy the japanese music feeling, the organization culture and entrepreneurship that they have in such a united way.

Some people may ask: Do you like anime? Actually I do like just a little bit, not as much as I do like video games but it is better for me to talk about just some of them because I really don't know that much about the topic.

I used to like Pokemon a lot and the reason is actually because of the games, mainly. Still I am more of a gamer and definitely will enjoy games broadly!

Moving to GameDev Market

Game music is something I like a lot and lately, I decided that I will move to the GameDev Market where there are plenty of possibilities to put game music as an asset. This means that now many of my works will be avialable there! And if you are a follower and have the idea of putting any of my songs in your game you can totally get them there.

Some of the tracks are very specifically oriented to adventure and RPG kinds of games. Still I think that my music can fit in different kinds of scenarios and situations, it will be up to the developer's intention.

Hopefully there will be more and more music that you will be able to listen and get there.

By the moment I still need to upload those and it actually takes a good time to do it nicely but I am working on it almost everyday currently.

I think that you will like these songs a lot if you are into adventure games and into indie video games as well because you will notice that these songs are made with some interesting instruments that were mainly created in my keyboard.

Plenty of Piano Tracks This Time

For those ones who are curious, my keyboard is a Casio WK-1600. Kind of an interesting model because it is an old one and as far as I am concerened, this model is not being produced anymore. I rather take care of it!
